Fresh from today! http://yfrog.com/3oe9xfj 2010-03-22

I had the pleasure of photographing the surprise birthday party my friend Jaclyn organized for her husband Adam. It was an amazing party, with delicious food and fun people to talk to.
While I have yet to finish editing all the images, here are a few relaxed family portraits taken after all the guests left. You might recognize little Miss Olivia…

Three generations.

I think Olivia was tired and done with pictures. What do you say?

There are so many more I would love to share, but not until I’m back from Europe.
Sunday’s photoshoot with Robert was a very interesting one. This guy has so many different talents and interests and he asked me to portray them.
This is just a sneak peek of what we worked on.

Last week I got my new piece of studio equipment, a beauty dish reflector that I just can’t wait to use for my upcoming model shoots. Incredibly enough, I didn’t have time to experiment with it until yesterday afternoon. My days are getting so busy lately I can’t even imagine what it will be like when the baby is here. We are finishing off the last things on the to-do list for baby because the end is near and who knows when this little guy decides to come out (btw, there are only about 6 more weeks left until my due date!).
Back to that reflector, I really like it so far but I have yet to test its full potential with a maybe a little less tired model than my lovely husband, who was not so willing to pose for me yesterday. In fact, he would have rather taken a nap. Anyway, here are a couple of shots:

He was just too tired. Taking a nap in studio…

As a bonus here is a little belly too:

I had promised myself to document this pregnancy extensively but it is easier said than done. As my belly grows, my energy for selfportraits lessens. The heaviness is not very motivating… and I will shortly embark the 9th month, nothing will get any easier for sure.

This is the second time I shoot with Max (maxvangeli.com) and here is a little sneak peek of what we shot today:
Warming up with something soft…

Some action!

After being helpful all along during the shoot, here is Viktor’s turn to be under the spotlight. Viktor is Max’s manager and the session wouldn’t have gone so smoothly without him to set Max straight!

Many thanks to Ema for being my assistant today. I have to say that the four of us really had a great time! We topped the day off with crazy group shots. Some of those may be coming up soon.
Esmeralda & Alberto (an Albanian-Italian couple, just like us) will be leaving California tomorrow. Markino and I met them a couple of months ago, when they came here to finish their thesis in computer engineering. Time has come that they have to go back to Milan, Italy.
After we had a little dinner last night and then a glass of wine at our place (of course I only had water!), we realized we didn’t even have a picture together.
So, here it goes:

From left to right, Esmeralda, Alberto, Markino, me (and my after-a-big-meal 22weeks3days pregnant belly).
Aren’t they a cute couple?

Guys, it was a pleasure meeting you. Good luck with everything!
See you soon.

After the sneak peek, here are some more shots from that day:
Quite dreamy, isn’t it?

The same shot as above, only cropped… but still dreamy.

So, I finally made through most of the emails I got during my trip and I’m now officially into editing all the zillion pictures I took.
Remember this cute little guy? Here are some more shots from the same day:
The french fry!

Isn’t this a gorgeous family?

My fav!!!

And… here is a picture of me too, with Noel & Elis:
I know I look tired. I sooo was!

Elvana’s portrait session in Tirana:
One of the first shots:

And almost the last one… just seconds before the sun went down:

Elis will be my new agent in Albania. Lol.
And… guess who liked my DKNY sunglasses ;)

More pictures coming soon… as soon as I get back home and don’t have to edit with the touchpad.
