I took these when I went to the zoo with my son on Saturday. Yes, I go to the zoo to photograph tiny, insignificant, flowers. And I didn’t get a single animal shot {it’s a long story that includes a fussy 8.5 months old}.

Welcome to my blog!
I’m Klo (much easier to say than Klodjana, right? trust me, my name looks more difficult than it really is). I’m a wife, a mom, a photographer. I’m 28.
I became a professional photographer in 2007. Not too long ago, but I’ve put everything into it. I love my job. It is probably the best job in the world!
I love food. Vacations are so only if I go to the beach on hot summer days. I speak 4 language (Albanian, Italian, English and Turkish) and have at least 4 more on my “wish list”. One day I will learn them. My (Italian) husband spoils me by cooking every night. I am a “citizen of the world” – born and raised in Albania, lived for 7 years in Italy (where I also scored the guy willing to put up with me) and currently in the Bay Area. Future plans include moving back to Milan in a few years. I wish I could live in a place with no winter. Actually, I wish I could travel the world. Literally. My English is great but I have an accent – some find it cute or funny.

I absolutely ADORE baby feet! Took these as I was playing with my son the other day.

Of course, he has a face too.

And friends to be curious about…

My little guy is growing up.
Now, for the travel news. We finally got the tickets to go to Europe (aka home) with our newest addition so that everyone, friends and family, can see the cuteness in person. And there are so many new little ones for us to meet too. Apparently last year was a good year to have babies. We are so excited!

June 19: Milan – Amsterdam – San Francisco
We have yet to decide when we will be in Tirana, Albania to visit my parents and then make a quick trip to Rome as well. It would have been better not to have everything so concentrated in such little time, there are many things we would like to do… but we will have to leave our cat in a pet hotel and it is heartbreaking for us. Unfortunately, travelling with a cat is not easy, not to mention the baby will be plenty.

Life with baby is harder than I thoughtFebruary 6th, 2010 |
I just realized that the last post on this blog was dated December 30th… Wow, that’s over a month of no blogging.
Happy New Year, by the way (better late than never)!
As I said, life with baby is harder than I thought. Of course, I didn’t think it would be a walk in the park, but man was I underestimating how much busier days can get with a very active little one.
My baby boy will be 6 months in just one short week. It seems like yesterday that we were bringing him home from the hospital, on his second day of life. Now he is about to crawl, and definitely a handful. Not to mention he thinks sleep is totally overrated.

Isn’t he the cutest baby ever? Of course he is, to me at least.
He doesn’t like it when I sit at my desk trying to get some work done and that is why I have been neglecting the blog. I am still working, but not as much as before. Being a mom has taken priority for the time being.
I try a bit harder to keep his little blog updated, supposedly daily, but reality is I usually blog 2 or more “daily” posts at once… typically around midnight, after I am done having dinner and working. That blog is his baby journal and the only way family and friends in Europe keep up with him, especially now that they grow up so fast and change quickly.

Happy HolidaysDecember 25th, 2009Christmas is almost over and between hosting a dinner on Christmas Eve (which may seem like nothing but it’s a big deal with a 4 months old who doesn’t care if you need to shower/clean/cook), opening presents this morning and generally dealing with a teething baby (aka Mr. Cranky Pants), I am just right now [...] |
Christmas is almost over and between hosting a dinner on Christmas Eve (which may seem like nothing but it’s a big deal with a 4 months old who doesn’t care if you need to shower/clean/cook), opening presents this morning and generally dealing with a teething baby (aka Mr. Cranky Pants), I am just right now able to update this blog with wishes for my readers. I know my days will only be getting busier as my troublemaker grows up…

He is the best gift I could ever receive.

Happy Halloween!October 31st, 2009 |
Today I’m just going to show off my little man… Isn’t he the cutest baby skeleton? :)

And my little skeleton is tired and ready for a nap.

I know I haven’t posted many pictures of him on this blog but I don’t want to be too much of ‘proud mommy obsessed with pictures of her kid‘, because, OF COURSE I take like a zillion pictures of him. If you want to see more, there is a blog, created so that family and friends overseas can keep up with RJ. Check it out at http://robertojs.com/
Today I also got to shoot baby Preston’s newborn session. Pictures are coming up soon!
