Harry Potter and the Red Brick Wall
Posted on April 15, 2008
She was reading her Harry Potter and … (something) and when I asked her if I could grab a couple of shots she said “ok” and hid her book behind her back. I asked her to keep the book and th first thing her mother told me when she saw the picture was “I love that she has the book too. She loves Harry Potter!”.

Ok, now I want a red brick wall just like this at home… Anyone willing to sponsor? :D
Thanks in advance!

Playground: Luca & Giorgia
Posted on April 13, 2008
My philosophy with children is what many call: If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.
I behave just like a kid when I have to photograph them. If one is screaming a lil bit, I’ll scream more :P
Kids are so fun to shoot at (don’t get me the wrong way, I mean photographically!).
When I first met Giorgia she was always hiding, as her parents told me she hides from everyone she doesn’t know and it takes a while for her to consider you “safe”. But then I started running after her (it’s a game she likes to play) chasing her around the house and now we are like best friends.
I forgot to mention that Giorgia is the daughter of our italian friends here in the Bay Area.
I took this picture of her when she was playing in our backyard. Yeah, we have a playground in our backyard, the homeowner left it when he moved to Tokyo with his wife and 2 little kids. Since we don’t have any kids of our own, it’s there for Giorgia and Luca (whom I’ll be introducing in a minute) to enjoy. She kinda comes to our place just to play :P which is nice, cos’ most of the time I’ll play with her (even though I know I will break the swings one day and it will be funny for everyone that gets to enjoy the show).
And daddy can’t miss playing with her…

This cutie down here is Luca, Giorgia’s little brother. He’s like my best model ever, if I take my camera he’ll just stare at me and smile… can go on like this forever, until it’s to eat or do sth else :P

Playing hide-and-seek in our empty cabinets (last weekend it was a big disappointment for her to discover that those closets were not empty any more as our stuff shipped from Italy was delivered finally). I had to chase her for like half an hour to make up for it.

This is what I was talking about when I said he would just stare at me as I am taking pictures.
