His party was SO much fun! And this tiny sneak peek doesn’t even begin to describe it :)

Can you say HOT? Everyone was cooling off the best they could… Sure, there was a pool but the birthday boy thought it was a lot of fun getting in front of the cool mist blowing fan (is it even called that way? I don’t know, but English is not my language so be creative and figure the name out yourselves)!

I confess, I have a thing for baby bed heads. Those make my son 10 times cuter.

He can be the sweetest thing ever…

When did my baby grow from a tiny newborn to an ‘almost a toddler’? He is growing amazingly fast and here I am, trying to get everything together for his first birthday party. Our trip to Europe for 3 weeks threw me a little off the schedule (so, not only am I staying awake at night to catch up on work, but also to plan this exciting event). Anyway, I’m almost done.

The invites came in yesterday and we are waiting on the personalized stamps so that the envelopes can finally go out! [the ticker says there are only 35 days left until my son's birthday]

The party will be small. Our families cannot join us this time. After all, we just went over there so they are probably saving the trip and coming over in a few months.

I’m so excited about the cake from Studio Cake. It will be amazing! And of course, picture perfect!

The food will be delicious. More details to come.

Morgana is a dearest friend’s daughter. I love the fact that many of my friends had babies around the same time I had my son. Experiencing motherhood together takes our relationship to a whole new level. I am a little sad our babies will not get very frequent play dates… but our plans include moving back to Italy at some point in the future.

Looks can be very deceiving when it comes to my son. He seems like the sweetest thing on Earth… and sometimes he is. But usually, he’s just a little monster that can’t sit still for more than one second.

Last year, my side of the family was extended by quite a few new members. Aleks is one of them! It’s so cute that my cousins and I are all about the same age… and our babies were born in the same year. We didn’t get to meet the other new members during this trip to Albania because they all live elsewhere but in the future we will.

Aleks is 8 months old.

I took these portraits of Olivia during her dad’s 30th birthday party. The party was awesome but I won’t share anything from that yet as I am still working on picking a few favorites to blog.
