I am horribly behind on blogging my sessions and I blame it on the busy holiday season. A couple more weeks and it should all go back to normal.
How adorable is he?

Welcome to my blog!
I’m Klo (much easier to say than Klodjana, right? trust me, my name looks more difficult than it really is). I’m a wife, a mom, a photographer. I’m 28.
I became a professional photographer in 2007. Not too long ago, but I’ve put everything into it. I love my job. It is probably the best job in the world!
I love food. Vacations are so only if I go to the beach on hot summer days. I speak 4 language (Albanian, Italian, English and Turkish) and have at least 4 more on my “wish list”. One day I will learn them. My (Italian) husband spoils me by cooking every night. I am a “citizen of the world” – born and raised in Albania, lived for 7 years in Italy (where I also scored the guy willing to put up with me) and currently in the Bay Area. Future plans include moving back to Milan in a few years. I wish I could live in a place with no winter. Actually, I wish I could travel the world. Literally. My English is great but I have an accent – some find it cute or funny.

In Winter Wonderland | Lake TahoeDecember 20th, 2010 |
We decided to go on a little family trip to Lake Tahoe this past weekend. I thought it was going to be relaxing but with a toddler nothing is. We also found about the worst weather – lots of rain, wind and generally just gloomy.

The only shot of the lake I took, the wind was almost blowing me away (I know I’m skinny, but really, it was strong).

From the 12th floor of the Hyatt Regency. Didn’t think my 20mm would actually not be enough. And, look closely, there are people in the pool down there! I’m cold just thinking about it.

I have about a zillion shots of my son, who didn’t like the snow at all (it was his first time and maybe seeing Mommy and Daddy sink in the snow to their knees wasn’t very reassuring for the pint size self that he is).
Here is a little extra. I know, I look crazy. I’m smiling but I really hate snow/rain being blown right in my face and eyes. Oh, and my fingers were falling off because I got smart and left my gloves in the car thinking I would be out for a few quick shots (the above macros). Not a good idea.

I’m probably a tad biased, but this kid is seriously cute! :)

And of course he decided to run towards me. God forbid this kid actually sat still for more than a few seconds.

Our other “tree” – a simple string of lights. It’s hanging in front of the house. I posted photos of our regular (although fake) tree on the little monster’s blog.

A collection of random shots | PersonalDecember 3rd, 2010 |
What better time to photograph a flower than during snack break for a 10 month old girl at Monday’s family session in Palo Alto? Took it with my 50mm (I think) but tomorrow I’ll be having fun with my brand new macro lens, the 100mm f/2.8L. Can’t wait!

Took this one on the same day, in the parking lot in front of Kara’s Cupcakes (my regular stop whenever I’m in the area). I knew there was no way these beauties were gonna make it all the way home. My son and I just LOVE cupcakes… We scarfed them down shortly after.

Our (quick) lunch. Penne with tomato sauce and parmiggiano, a classic yet so delicious. Too bad we didn’t have any basil at home that day.
