We have some baby news… Our little guy finally arrived, on August 13, 12:58AM PST.

I’m Klo (much easier to say than Klodjana, right? trust me, my name looks more difficult than it really is). I’m a wife, a mom, a photographer. I’m 28.
I became a professional photographer in 2007. Not too long ago, but I’ve put everything into it. I love my job. It is probably the best job in the world!
I love food. Vacations are so only if I go to the beach on hot summer days. I speak 4 language (Albanian, Italian, English and Turkish) and have at least 4 more on my “wish list”. One day I will learn them. My (Italian) husband spoils me by cooking every night. I am a “citizen of the world” – born and raised in Albania, lived for 7 years in Italy (where I also scored the guy willing to put up with me) and currently in the Bay Area. Future plans include moving back to Milan in a few years. I wish I could live in a place with no winter. Actually, I wish I could travel the world. Literally. My English is great but I have an accent – some find it cute or funny.

And to answer the question. While it wouldn’t have been a problem for me to take the birthing pictures myself (thanks to the epidural), I had basically no time to do so because the whole delivery process was really quick. I left the taking pictures chore to my lovely husband… but my OB wouldn’t have been at all surprised if I had done so myself. In the end I also chose to enjoy the moment without a lens in between.
