This has been a very lazy Sunday. I can’t believe the day ( and the entire weekend) is already over and I barely did anything productive.

Totally random shot, taken inside my new car (yes, I finally have a car ladies and gentleman):

My car, aka ‘the mommy car’, already sports a carseat base… ready for when the baby is born!

Daddy to be is not even an adult yet, and still drinks Nesquik. Oh my!

Doing absolutely nothing.

A little more serious now…

Who would have thought my lilies would survive the winter and actually spread around the backyard?! This is the first one to have blossomed already.

He is already SO excited about the baby… and is reading a bunch of books to be prepared!

Today I had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous newborn baby girl! She is a sweetheart. Totally adorable.

More coming up soon!

29 weeks down as of today. Only 11 more to go until my due date!
(for those who don’t speak “pregnancy week language”, I am 7 months pregnant and there is a little over 2 months to go)

And here we are, a family portrait:

Nothing special, I just decided to turn on one light, put the camera on the tripod and jump in front of it. The lighting I chose hides my tired face and almost gone makeup. It was the end of a tiring day… but the baby and I are doing great otherwise!

We found this gorgeously green gecko near the Swinging Bridge in Kaua’i, while looking for a geocache (of course).

The Canon Vixia HF10 is really nice and we love it… but it’s tiny and very light weight, so you will notice how I had difficulties keeping everything steady while zooming in to catch more details. I couldn’t go closer to the gecko because he was really afraid of us.

I’m back from Kaua’i. Sigh.

We flew back to Cali on Monday. Yes, quite some days but I haven’t had a spare second to update this blog. Between catching up with emails and returnig phone calls, updating clients’ orders, prenatal visits and looking for a pediatrician for our soon to be born baby… days have gone by really quickly.

Today, while organizing folders and downloading all the images shot during our little vacation I picked some random ones to edit and share.
I didn’t take many pictures though, I was ‘focused’ on enjoying our last vacation before the baby comes and I must say we feel so much more relaxed right now. It was a much needed vacation.

All (or almost) of the following images were randomly taken while Markino and I went geocaching (go on geocaching.com if you don’t know what I’m talking about) around the island. We spent most of our time there driving around and looking for this tech ‘treasures’ as I could barely stand the heat under the sun (despite my limited sun exposure by the pool I am about 5-6 shades darker now than when I got there! yes, I tan very easily).

On of the last caches we found on the island, a couple of hours before heading to the airport, was at the Waimea Canyon Lookout. The place offered breathtaking views.

A gorgeous lizard.

This bird seemed fake, he didn’t move a bit… exception made for the eyes which kept rolling to follow Markino and me.

On our way to the next geocache! Renting that Jeep was the best thing we ever did!

My brand new grey Converse after a day of geocaching in tons of red dirt… picture taken right before getting ready to head to the airport. I, the 7 months pregnant lady, ended up doing all the travel on my high wedged sandals! I’ll let you imagine how comfortable it was… but there was no way for me to go around in muddy converse (trust me, the picture doesn’t do justice, neither does it show how the dirt ended up inside and onto my white socks… and I won’t even start talking about my jeans).

Aloha! | On the move

As we enjoy our getaway in Kaua’i, here is a little something to see:

You were probably expecting a colorful beach but it is way too easy to get sunny and colorful shots here in Hawaii, you can see those on countless postcards… I like challenges better. :)

Tiny | Random Shots

keyholder

While it might not seem so because the picture lacks a comparison element, this keyholder is really tiny!

Tonight, Markino and I are packing for Hawaii… we will be in Kauai May 12-17. I don’t think I will have much time to update the blog but I will certainly bring a lot of pictures with me when we get back. And maybe some video footage (let’s see how I feel about in-motion picture now that my belly is ever-expanding). Oh right, my ever-expanding belly… yes, you will get to see that too, maybe! :P
This will be our last vacation before baby. We’ll make sure we enjoy every moment of it :)

Things I am looking forward to doing there? (apart from getting a nice tan and swimming) Hiking and a lot of geocaching!
I can’t believe the amount of caches hidden around where we will be staying and the rest of the island!
