So, I was licensing some files to Getty Images this morning and here is how it turned into a big laugh

It’s Valentine’s day and although I don’t care much about it as it is a super commercial occasion… I wanted to blog a couple of pictures of me, my wonderful husband and… and more… :)

I owe so much to the wonderful man that decided to marry a crazy gal like me, so: Thank you honey, thank you for putting up with me every time. I don’t know where I’d be without you. Literally. 
(for those who don’t know, my photography career started thanks to this man and he’s my #1 motivator, not to mention how helpful with all the business stuff I didn’t know)

Now, when I saw the above picture while browsing in Camera Raw I went: ugh, what’s with the green eyes? Maybe in this small one you don’t notice it much but trust me, they turned out green. Before I get nasty comments from people that don’t know what they are talking about accusing me of “making pictures with Photoshop” here is a closeup of the details on the eyes:

My eyes “are” actually yellow and blue, all thanks to reflections… you can’t even see my real eye color.

I’m definitely not loving being in front of the camera… ha ha ha.

Yup, I’m knocked up… almost done with month 4, which means that by the first week of August… omg, I’m scared to say it out loud… I’m gonna be a mom… :O
Wondering where my baby bump is? I’m wondering too!  

And this is why I’ve been forgetful and neglecting lately… ever heard of “pregnant brain”, no joke!

Baby Erwann

It’s so nice to see spring flowers almost everywhere. Where I come from we don’t those till March… but hey, this is sunny California.

I feel like finally breathing a little “spring” of my own today. I’ve been pissed since yesterday morning when I found a picture of mine on Facebook, on the homepage of an event. Needless to say I didn’t know anything about this image being used and what pissed me off the most is that it’s a selfportrait. I already hate it when people steal my art (it has happened before and I’m sure this won’t be the last time), but when it is my art+my face you can see steam coming out of my ears. Further more, it was edited. Thanks dumb ass for giving me those blue eyes I never got when I was born. 

Since the thieves were albanian (hello there), I sent a private message to the admin of the event requesting the image be removed immediately. Not only did he/she not care to do so but I got a very disrespectful response stating that if I wanted my copyrights I shouldn’t have put the image on the internet. Am sparing other rude comments he/she made. I just can’t believe how ignorant people are… and how not ashamed to give this answer. Eventually, my two reports, along with a dozen other made from friends and contacts, about copyright violation got answered today and Facebook removed the event and the account of the creator.

I know this stuff happens to everyone and that unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it since we choose to be on this huge network and share, but I still get disappointed every time. It crushes me.

p.s. now getting to work. I have to take a picture I’ll need in two days (Valentine’s day, in case you didn’t do the math :P)… there’s still a secret I have to share…

My websites and blogs have been down for about 5 hours today and this isn’t even the first time such thing has happened so over the weekend we’ll be working on changing the provider (sorry old one, but we have decided that you suck).

In the mean time, as you may notice (at this exact moment you sure notice something over the header of this blog) there are some strange things going on. Entirely not my fault and I can’t do anything to fix the problem quickly, it’s again a provider’s problem. ***update: I temporarily solved this, although I didn’t like the solution at all***

Everything will be back to normal and even better before you know it.

Update: migriation went well and now everything is up and running on our new host. please let me know if you notice anything wrong. we are still testing and checking around.

Erwann was born January 15th.

And the session is brand new too, from this afternoon. This was a postponed session originally scheduled for last Saturday but Erwann’s mommy had to cancel last minute. I finally got to meet this cute guy today and because my husband is out on a business dinner tonight I figured I could stay in my office a little longer and blog this session. Ok, nuff said.

How could I forget that as of January 29th it has been a year for me here in Califonia? I so wanted to write a long post about this whole first year here, my impression and so but it totally skipped my mind… Why am I forgetting things lately? Oh wait, I know why I’m so forgetful… but can’t say, YET (stay tuned till Valentine’s day… maybe some news will be on).
