Noel part I

Posted on September 28, 2008

Editing pictures on a laptop using the touchpad is like skiing in high heels.

Blogging with a veeeerryyy sloooow dial-up connection isn’t any easier though!

That said, here are a couple of quick pictures I wanted to share. He’s Noel, not 3 yet, bu sooo smart… and he loves my apple (aka iPhone).

I’m

Posted on September 22, 2008

… in Tirana, Albania.
In case you’re wondering where that is, take a look at the map:

What am I doing here in the next 8 days, apart from seeing friends, having fun and eating food that I’ve been missing for months? I have a couple of photo sessions, which I may or may not share once I get back to California.
I’m honestly being spoiled here… the only thing about my parents’ house that I don’t like is the dial-up connection. Man, how did I handle it 10 years ago?? This is sooo slow! Well, my parents aren’t exactly technologic, but maybe the will be in the near future. I just got my mom a brand new laptop. The next thing I assume will happen is she’ll get bored of the snail internet and go for a DSL. And when she has the DSL she’ll annoy me and my brother with video-calls every other day. OMG, what did I get myself into???

Anyways, I’ll be back to 21st century’s technology by Oct 30, when I fly back to Milan!

In Milan

Posted on September 20, 2008

Here I am, devastated, sleep-deprived and already about to jump onto another plane tomorrow. Jetlag is killing me, I cannot even figure out what time it is, if I have to eat, drink, sleep… or anything else.

Too bad I already had the tickets to Tirana when I got an invitation for a couple of runways in the Milan Fashion Week… oh, well.

At least I’ll go and pampered at home. Can’t wait to see my friends. I’ll be busy doing nothing for the next couple of days :)

Travel Itinerary

Posted on September 18, 2008

It’s past midnight and I still have to put a couple of things in my suitcase. I can’t believe I left so many last minute stuff to do…

My flight is scheduled at 8.30am, meaning I’ll have to be out of here be 6am. OUCH! This is so NOT me, I am unable to function properly before 9am. But this is barely the hard part. It’s the 15 hours flight that will destroy me. Oh right, I didn’t mention where I’m off to. Destination: Milan, ITALY.
I’m connecting in Chicago, where I’ll have to wait for a couple o hours before my next flight.

I’ll finally land on earth, losing 9 hours (which I will suffer jetlag conseguences for), Fri 19th, at 8.30am (local time).

My Friday will already busy with work: meet with a client, check a studio, rent lighting for an upcoming photoshoot and maybe finally rest.

Sunday: Off to take another plane, going in Albania. A little visit home for a week or so.

I hope I can drop by for some more updates on my travels and post new pictures!

The little red head

Posted on September 11, 2008

Remember this little kitten from Our new neighbour? Since she has now become a constant presence around our backyard and learned how to sneak into the house and come ask us for food, we have “adopted” her in a kind of way. We give hee food, scritly outside though - we want to avoid any fights between Filippo and her, and we cuddle her when we have time AND our cat isn’t around :P
We have given her a name, which she responds to now (good girl!), we call her Tina. There’s an explanation for the name, it comes from gatTina (meaning “kitten”-female- in italian). And, boy, is she growing up fast…

Maternity session: it’s a boy

Posted on September 2, 2008

This is a quick preview from yesterday’s maternity session. Enjoy Alda’s babybump:

Emma loves her babybrother too…

Maybe I’ll blog some more pictures from this session later.
And can’t wait to do the newborn session as soon as Matteo is born!
