First billboard

Yep, I got my first billboard. A campaign running nationally all over France started on Monday June 23rd. Not only my picture, but my face is on it… although I wasn’t counting on that, I am not looking to become a model, it’s just that I enjoy selfportraits… (apparently others enjoy my selfportraits too :P). Over a 150 billboards like the one below will be seen around the country; in 4×3m (almost 14×10ft).

    io, nel dubbio di non capirmi, scrivo in italiano (e manco tanto corretto!!!!).
    Che dire?
    tu sei bellissima, ma questo si aspeva, che ai fare foto spettacolari lo si sapeva anche, ma l’emozione di vederti in formato ‘giant’ non si può descrivere.
    Sei tu e sei in Francia.
    Sei tu, in Francia e la tua carriera sta spiccando.
    Io lo sapevo… ahhhhhhh se lo sapevo, te l’ho sempre detto che saresti arrivata in alto (io non arrivo nemmeno allo scaffale tu sei giù sui muri, anvedi!!!).

    Congratulations! I’m up on my feet, clapping my hands and jumping with joy! :-) You truly deserve this success. And it’s only the beginning … Now I’m more convinced than ever. :-)

    I have to apologize for asking dumb questions, but I do and can’t help it. As my french is shaky to the extreme, I couldn’t work out what the campaign is about. It’s not really important, but as always, my curiosity gets the better of me. And even worse to ask (now I feel really dumb), what’s a tearsheet? I’m glad for Ema and you, because it’s clearly something positive, but I’m left poking my brain without any hope of coming up with an accurate answer of my own.

    Once again, I’m very happy with the way things develop for you. I’ll raise my glass tonight with a cheer to you. :-)

    @Bruno: The campaign is for Mistigriff’s sales. (says: another point of view on the sales… or sth like that, as I don’t know french either but I understand sth).

    A tearsheet is when you literally tear a sheet from a magazine or publication. The above image of Ema will be published as shown.
