KISSed

May 29, 2008

Today I got my first KISS book, an 8×8, which I’ll have to separate from as soon as Shannon comes to pick it up.

I’m so happy I got to know these guys that like to keep it simple. When I arrived here in California (the States) from Italy I was looking for local printing service and at a certain point I was in total desperation. I couldn’t understand a word of what people offered (I won’t mention names of where I registered and asked for a sample package and pricing list… but there were a bunch of them), I just couldn’t figure out what the total cost of my album would be. Didn’t know how to consider a page (?)/a side(?) or if the album cover was included. To make a long story short, it was way too complicated for me, too many options, too much of everything. Ok, probably it’s my english… not good enough, not my first language (not even my second language), but when it came to KISS books I was amazed at how simple it was. The perfect solution for me! Of course I didn’t know how the quality of the prints would be never having tried but now I do and I love it. I’m a 100% satisfied from the service, starting at the emails I received notifying me at every step the book took, to the final delivery, to the quality of it. Prints are perfect, pages smooth to touch… too bad you can’t feel those by looking at the pictures!

Lots of KISSes to everyone!! :)

Ok, now that I have a great place to print the books I guess I’ll have to prepare that present I’ve been telling my mother about since we had the second wedding party (an informal party for those who couldn’t attend our wedding in Italy) last August in Albania. My brother, who is not at all capable of taking pictures, shot some pictures with my Canon 5D at this party and my mother has been asking for an album with those pics eversince… although she already has a copy of our official wedding album. Mums… that’s how they are… I feel bad that every time she asks me about it I tell her that I’m working on it (I should have done some masterpiece by now ^_^).

So, yesterday Vanessa and Jeremy said “I do”. We were all hoping it wouldn’t rain and we were lucky (although it wasn’t the warmest day of the season). :)

For this wedding I have one word: BLUE. You are going to see a lot of it when I finish working on the pictures. In the mean time, enjoy the preview…

Congrats guys and have fun in Maui :)

This is one crazy story I am about to tell you. I am shooting Vanessa&Jeremy’s wedding tomorrow, in about 36 hours… and I booked it yesterday, 13 hours ago. No, I’m not usually this crazy… neither are the bride and groom, but due to some technical problems they found themselves without a photographer at just 4 days before the wedding. So there I was, 13 hours ago, meeting them for the first time at their rehearsal. Can’t wait to shoot their wedding (not that I’ll have to wait much :P), these guys are both amazing.

Here are some shots from the rehearsal…

It’s a men thing. That gorgeous little guy there is Vanessa&Jeremy’s son :) How cool is he?

Guess what Vanessa’s favorite color is? ;)

Practicing the kiss  ?! :D

The location is amazing too. Casa Real, at Ruby Hill Winery, just opened this spring and is located in Pleasanton, sorrounded by huge vineyards.

Wanted to blog some more, but I’m really tired and tomorrow will be a busy day. I’ll be blogging the wedding soon!

Boudoir: Shannon

May 14, 2008

I know I haven’t been around much, I’ve only updated my other photoblog, Photolicious (where I now mostly show fashion works and model shoots), during all this time… basically because all I have to do there is just add a picture, or even a lot of pictures and they’ll go public one a day. So I usually upload a bunch of them. Anyways, I’m back… and today I’ll be talking about my last Boudoir Session with Shannon.

Shannon contacted me through the contact form on my website www.klodjanadervishi.com about 3 weeks ago, saying she wanted to do a sexy photoshoot as a present to her husband for their first anniversary which is June 9. We scheduled an appointment the week later for the consult. She came in and we had a little chat, talked about ideas we both had and even more. She’s one lovely girl. Not to mention she is gorgeous (her husband George is a very lucky man). Last thursday she came in a second time, only this time it was to actually do the shooting. We were both excited. As I expected, she was a total fun to work with!!!

Since we didn’t have much time, the anniversary is now only 3 weeks away, I worked all weekend to design her 8×8 Boudoir Book so she can give the present on time. Yesterday, after the review with Shannon, I finally placed the order… and CAN’T WAIT to get the book, probably by the end of the month!
Besides, the sooner she gives the present, the sooner me and Markino get to meet her husband George and go some wine tasting in Napa!! ;)

I’ll leave you with a couple of pictures of my gorgeous model:

Hey guys, I’m on Twitter too… although since I’m new I’ve only had time to figure out how it works, haven’t found any friends yet. If you’re curious click on Klo on Twitter and join me :)

They are two dearest friends of mine that I miss a lot since I left Italy this February… I’ve got tons of pictures of them but I just picked a bunch of random ones. As the title suggests, I’ll be coming back to show you more of this fantastic couple and their babyboy :P (he’s physically big, but he’s still a boy…).

And here they are… she’s the camera-friendly and he is the camera-shy:
