Love your spacious kitchen here, and wouldn't mind the pasta dish for sure! I also envy you that shiny stainless steel food processor. A cold shiver did run down my back when I realised how close Filippo is to that kitchen appliance. As cats have a way of getting into trouble, I hope that this machine is "kidsafe - catsafe". :-) A pity about the spices you had to leave behind. Same happened to us when we moved to Australia. We tried to replace them with what was on sale there, but the spices were without any real taste, or as we say, "castrated". Because of fear of contamination, they treat all imported spices with gamma rays or something similar. If you don't do that correctly, this not only kills any suspected bugs and bacteria, but also any taste they might have had in the past. A frustrating experience. It was difficult to get a really tasty dish on the table. Oh well , that's history now. I trust this will be different in the USA. My best wishes to you and Markino in your new household.
