Here are some of my favorites from the shooting.

An abandoned trailer was perfect for a couple of quick shots.

The wedding reception

April 24, 2008

I’m gonna stick with some details in this entry too. Only, this time, they are yummy, delicious, colorful, details.

Yes, it’s food shots; from Tania&Gabriele’s wedding in May ’07, in Milan.
(what I miss most from Italy is the delicious food)
I’ll let you enjoy the pictures ;)

Ham apetizers…

Bruschette & tartine…

April 12: Ashley+Matthew

April 23, 2008

Remember the details?

Here are some portraits.

Details

April 22, 2008

from Ashley&Matthew’s wedding (I talked about in the previous journal entry).

It was a small and simple wedding.
How did I end up there? Well, you may know (if you’ve already read the About page on this blog) that I just moved here, to California, from Italy. I basically know nobody (except from a couple of good old friends that happen to live in this area now) and when Blake wrote me an e-mail asking to assist him while shooting the wedding of his friends in Oakland I was just happy to have the chance to make new friends. That saturday, April 12th, I was free. :)

Ok, I’ll just leave you to a couple of shots here. (If you ever wanna take a look my fashion/editorial portfolio, which is the major field I work in, please visit klodjanadervishi.com or Photolicious).

For a simple bride, a simple dress…

Little model

April 20, 2008

I photographed this little model at Ashley&Matthew’s wedding (where I was doing second shooting for Blake). She was a bit shy at the start but then she surprized me with some cute poses so I decided to call her “my little model”.

I’ll just show a couple of pictures here since I’m almost headed for the dining room (feel so hungry right now).

Have a nice evening everyone and… leave some love on this blog.
K.

She was reading her Harry Potter and … (something) and when I asked her if I could grab a couple of shots she said “ok” and hid her book behind her back. I asked her to keep the book and th first thing her mother told me when she saw the picture was “I love that she has the book too. She loves Harry Potter!”.

Ok, now I want a red brick wall just like this at home… Anyone willing to sponsor? :D
Thanks in advance!
K.

What the HEC

April 13, 2008

Hey everyone… I will start this new blog with a personal project. I documented a normal dinner-preparation time at our house. The king of our kitchen is my husband, Marco. He does all the cooking and he loves it. Aren’t I lucky? ^_^
I’ve had people asking me if he is a professional cook. He would like to, but for now he’s a computer guy (it’s how I name all sys admins and engineers). Maybe when he retires from computers he’ll open his own small restaurant.

But let’s see what we are having for dinner. I see whipping cream… I already like this dinner plan!

…and peppers. Love peppers.

Man at work!

We still lack a lot of things in the kitchen (see empty spice holder on the counter). They didn’t let us pack the huge collection of spices we had back in Italy when we moved here… Apparently no food of any kind should come into the states. Whatever, we’ll just go shopping!

When I saw this house for the first time I said: Wow, this is big and gorgeous. I love the space. I want this house. My husband was just ok.
Then he saw the kitchen, and 6 gas burners and he said: Wow, I want this house.
Well, we all have our needs I guess.
p.s. Can you find the intruder?

Guess who wants to be the chef’s assistant!!
This is our third family member, Filippo. We brought him here to the Bay Area all the way from Milan (Italy).

The house chef is not really sure how Filippo can help with the cooking… can’t understand why!

What do I do in all this? A part from taking pictures and bugging everyone?
I get rid of the trash… I’m the Mrs. Tidy&Clean. Sometimes I turn into Mrs. CleanFreak ^_^

Where are whipping cream and peppers going? On the pasta, of course. Since we come from Italy, guess what we love eating…

At this point I’m starting to feel dizzy… that pepper smell is really making me even more hungry than I already am.

And here is where the “story” ends. From this point on I was too busy eating to take pictures! Dinner was delicious. Slurp! ^_^
